[•]appearance|; Less is one of those girls who is good looking and doesn't really know it. While she may not be the most gorgeous of gals, many have called her quite pretty, and even beautiful. Those who knew her say she looks like her mother, with her slightly upturned, slender nose and overall oval-shaped face. From her mother she also gained her build, slender with a height at about five and a half feet.
When she was younger her hair was of a dirty blond color; however, as she got older it morphed into a chocolate tint resembling her father's. It's usually relatively straight when the weather is nice, but once humidity, heat, and strong winds kick in it gets slightly waved, especially toward the ends.
Her eyes change color depending on her mood, typically a beautiful shade of blue, green, gray, or something in between. They're windows into her soul, because her emotions are carried in their depths, sometimes appearing quite glossy.
Her clothing style is quite simple. It's nothing too remarkable or over the top, but not entirely unfashionable either. She loves to dress how she is comfortable, in a pair of jeans and a tee (mostly vintage) that doesn't cling too tightly to her slender form. Sometimes a jacket of some kind, accessories, or a scarf may be added. When she feels like putting extra effort into her overall look, a prettier, more fitting shirt of some sort may be set in place. However, she always has a pair of converse on her feet. [•]played by|; Kristen Stewart

When she was younger she was not this way. She used to love engaging in activities that involved socialization, including sports and group activities. She was a tomboy in those days, and everyone loved her for her sense of humor and charm.
Her mother and two younger brothers died in a car crash when she was fifteen. This completely devastated the teen, who was closest to the three, for her father had unhealthy drinking habits and wasn't the nicest of the litter, thus why custody of Less was handed to her aunt Charlie. Her cheery attitude three-sixtied, and she became more reserved and antisocial in a matter of a few months. Because of this many of her friends turned their backs on her, not liking the new Alessandra.
Less doesn't enjoy speaking to people she isn't friends with, but isn't afraid to. She doesn't have a large fan base because.. well, she isn't very social! She would prefer staying at home in her pajamas while reading a book over going out with people almost any day. Sometimes you may catch a glimpse of the real her, when she stands up to others who are putting herself or someone else down, but those occasions are rare because of the fact she tries to steer free from confrontation.
It takes quite a bit to get this girl to open up to you. You won't find her telling you her life story in the first ten minutes of knowing you. This is another example of how she changed because of the accident, for she used to be extremely open about her life.
She cried very little before the crash. Nowadays that has also changed. She cries a lot more often now, probably once a week or so. She doesn't let herself do it in front of others, for she doesn't want them to see how weak vulnerable she can get, so she typically chooses times when she's alone or.. well, just can't hold it in anymore.

[•]role.play example|;She felt her heart pounding in her chest, an upbeat rhythm that steadily found its way to her temple. She felt as if there was something just a tad askew, strapped to a chair as if she was some kind of patient in a psychiatric ward just waiting to spring. She knew her past affected her personality, changing her completely, but not in that way! She felt as if her nails would break under the pressure forced upon them as her fingers were clenched tight against the cool surface of the arm rests. It wasn't normal for a girl to be strapped to a chair on her first day, right? Right?!
The scientists chattered around her about things she could not, and probably never would, comprehend. Injection? She felt her muscles tighten at the word, not the biggest fan of any kind of injection. She swallowed hard, gray glossed-over eyes concentrating on one of them she could spot in the corner of her eye, who watched her in their own. The scientist beside that one worked diligently at something, moving with precise, quick movements.
When that scientist turned and they both headed toward where she was seated, she began to panic. What are they doing? She felt her throat run dry, too afraid to speak. Maybe she was overreacting, but maybe she wasn't. She just didn't think it was normal for someone to be strapped down into a seat the first day at a new school, because it wasn't.
She tried to twist away as the scientist she had spotted in the corner of her eye smiled down at her momentarily and spoke in a sweet voice, saying, "This won't hurt a bit!" She felt the muscles in her abdominal area tighten as the syringe approached the inner side of her elbow, and she held her breath. She turned away, eyes shut tight, feeling the prick at her arm and an odd sensation around the area.
She felt a bit dizzy momentarily, but that first scientist spoke calmly to the other and her eyes opened. Immediately her attention turned to something else, sitting on the ground with a skittish look on its muzzle. Was it a.. a hyena? It was odd, though, because it wasn't the kind she was used to seeing: brown in color, spotted, usually feeding on a lion's leftovers. It was a bit smaller in stature, and was striped in a similar fashion as a tiger, black and white. But it was a hyena.. that part was unmistakable.
Its head tilted to one side and it appeared to smile at her, and an odd sense of calm overcame her. She smiled back and waved in what way she could, for her arm remained strapped down. She glanced to the scientist, the first writing notes on a clip board, while the other turned to her. "Name?" Her eyes floated back to the hyena, a bit closer to her than before, and her smile faded for a moment as she thought. After a short while it returned, small but definitely there. "Kumari."
