cannon? yes[ ] no[x]
[•]appearance|; Though she doesn’t have a awful appearance, Leah often neglects her looks for convenience, particularly due to cello practice. A comfortable 170 cm (5’7”) and weighing about 52kg (115lbs) on a good day, she has a good starting point, and cleans up nicely.
Leah has olive eyes that obtain a brighter green closer to the summer solstice. Her deep brown hair falls slightly longer than her underarms, and has a beautiful wave that can only be kept from frizzing by using many hair styling products. Her teeth are straight and white, as they are the only part of her appearance that she takes particular care of. When it comes to makeup, you can expect nothing more than lip balm, except for the occasional mascara she will use during one of her recitals.
People expect young orchestral musicians to dress in a less casual manner, but Leah is about as casual as one can get without appearing trashy. You’ll never see her wearing a skirt or mini shorts, as she loves jeans too much to abandon them. The shirts she dons are usually cheap cotton tee shirts, with catchy phrases or popular classic rock bands. Leah also wears square reading glasses during class lectures or music rehearsal. [•]played by|; emily browning
[•]likes|; -string quartets -autumn -greek food -her familiar, Sash -the color burgundy -strong coffee -philosophy -smiling -old-time cartoons -classic rock -soft cotton clothing -practicing her clarinet or cello -cloud watching
[•]dislikes|; -smoke and/or soot -loud non-musical noises -her clarinet tutor -bright summer days -velvet -neon colors -ridicule -internet abbreviations -taking on the phone -reality television shows -being treated younger than she is -neat freaks
[•]personality|; Leah is a kind-hearted soul, a listener a opposed to a speaker, and is easy to befriend if you actually try. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people in this world who are prone to take advantage of such a personality. Leah is sometime too loyal of a friend to realise that people are using her, to the point where she goes through with the said friendship until it is too late to aviod hurting herself.
When it comes to schoolwork, Leah is a very bright student, but her lack of organization skills cause her to recieve a lower grade than she deserves. She loses many of her important papers, and her teachers don't give her any slack. It is partially due to this that she excells so much in music classes, as you can't lose your talent like you can lose your homework.
Leah doesn't have many friends, only because so many have come before and hurt her to a point where she doesn't want to trust anyone as a companion. Find a way to her heart, and you'll discover a close friend who is willing to listen to everything you tell her and confide her thoughts in you.
To Leah, obsessing about guys isn't a part of her daily routine. She will have male friends, sometimes ones who are closer to her than her female friends, but she hardly ever crushes. If she does, her feelings are repressed by her consentration on her musical studies and schoolwork, never express or even noted.
[•]family|;Margret Lyons: mother Gregory Wright Senior: father Maurice Lyons: step-father Gregory Wright Junior: older brother (eighteen) Isabella Lyons: younger step-sister (twelve)
'Family' is a pretty loose term in the Wright bloodline. Both Leah's parents are distant from her and her brother, Greg; her mother enjoys the social life of parties and weddings, while her father is too concerned with work too be involved with his children's lives. Leah parents kindly separated when she was nine, and her mother recently remarried to a rich aristocrat who shares her ideals and taste in entertainment.
Because of her parent's nonchalant attitude towards their children, Leah and her brother have developed very tight bonds, and are closer than brothers and sisters traditionally are. The same can not be said for Leah's relationship with her new step-sister, Izzy, who is used to her father giving her everything she wants, and can't stand not receiving the same reverence from her new siblings.

[•]role.play example|;Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
Leah’s heart beat quickly as she sat still as stone in the injection laboratory. Her pulse, so accustomed to the metronome at cello practice, seemed to miss its faithful beat guiding her through her concertos, as it had been trained to mimic the evenly-spaced beats designed to keep her in time. As a result, the young musician’s heart found comfort in the repetitious clicks that resounded from the clock high above her wooden chair.
Despite her nervous appearance she gave, Leah wasn’t afraid. An injection? There was no pain great enough to overshadow her younger sister’s severe kick to the shin. In fact, Leah couldn’t pinpoint her anxiety. Was she making herself scared?
When the nurse came in with the needle, Leah imagined her experience to be like an experiment that she performed for science class in middle school. Hypothesis? If that lady sticks her needle into my arm, then I better get a lollipop afterwards. Procedure? Needle goes in, some pain tolerates, needle come out. Results? Dizziness, pain at the injection sight, and… oh.
Once Leah got over her initial shock, she was almost surprised to discover a small animal on her lap: a medium-sized bird, staring up at her as if examining her. Leah, confused and slightly drowsy from the injection and pain medication, looked up at her supervising nurse as though there must be some mistake. Were the doctors sure that the bird was supposed to be hers? The medical examiner, however, just smiled and walked out.
When she looked back down, the bird was walking around Leah’s lap, testing it’s new feet on the legs of his human. Almost as if she was told, Leah suddenly accepted her new mate like a long lost twin, but in the form of a parrot-looking animal.
“Now, what should call you, little guy?” Leah contemplated as she stroked the creature’s back feathers.
Much to Leah’s surprise, the bird answered back, “Sash will suffice. And I’d rather appreciate it if you didn’t call me ‘little guy’, thanks.”
